Assessment & Treatment

Therapeutic Support

 I am trained in a number of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), Sensory Attachment Intervention (SAI), Play Therapy and Adventure Therapy.

Prior to working with a young person, I will always conduct a thorough assessment to inform my understanding of their presenting difficulties and to develop a tailor made treatment plan. This can either be an informal assessment or when the child’s level of complexity and need dictate, a more detailed specialist psychological assessment.

I offer a range of therapeutic interventions to children and young people facing difficulties such as;

  • Anxiety (e.g. Generalised, Stress, OCD)
  • Depression & low mood
  • Behavioural difficulties
  • Bereavement & loss
  • Panic attacks
  • Phobias
  • Confidence and self-esteem issues
  • PTSD
  • Attachment and Developmental Trauma
  • Family & systemic issues
  • Panic attacks
  • Self-harm
  • Problematic & harmful sexual behaviour
  • Anger problems
  • Substance misuse
