Specialist Problematic & Harmful Sexual Behaviour Assessment

I specialise in the assessment of problematic and harmful sexual behaviour in children and young people. I have extensive experience supporting professionals and families when there are concerns that a child has been exhibiting problematic sexual behaviour. My assessments are underpinned by a bio-psycho-social model of understanding why a child might be displaying such behaviour and I adopt a child centered approach to ensure that the young person's voice is always heard.

I am certified in the use of the MEGA♪ risk assessment tool (Multiplex Empirically Guided Inventory of Ecological Aggregates for Assessing Sexually Abusive Adolescents and Children). Designed using an international sample size of over 4000 young people, the MEGA is one of the only scientifically validated and empirically based assessment tools for children and young people who are displaying problematic sexual behaviour. 

I have experience acting as an Expert Witness with regard to problematic and harmful sexual behaviour cases and I have participated in practice development initiatives as a subject matter expert.
